“Naughty & Notorious: The Unsanctioned Christmas Cards”
DESCRIPTION:
Forget the fireplace. This year, the heat comes from somewhere else entirely. DIFUSIE Magazine shatters the sugar-coating of the season with Issue 016: “Naughty & Notorious: The Unsanctioned Christmas Cards.” This isn’t a holiday special. It’s a holiday takeover. An unapologetic, red-and-white riot in the hallowed confines of the DIFUSIE Hollywood studio, where eleven of the most formidable modern male figures—Pulkit Puket, Al Denton, Mike Ferris, Adil Frost, Lorenzo de Luca, Cobi Lee, Noar Drake, Buck Wilder, Tom Grant, Luca Brasi, and Jean-Pierre Moreau—deliver a collective, provocative middle finger to festive modesty.
The concept is sacrilege, executed with surgical precision. Styled by Dusan Nikola Ripley in nothing but the tattered, open remnants of traditional Santa Claus costumes, the models stand as raw, unedited declarations of primal hunger. The velvet trim and white fur serve not to conceal, but to frame. Every inch of their powerful, naked forms—with a deliberate, unblinking focus on their formidable, undeniable physicality—is laid bare, the costume’s classic silhouette brutally subverted to highlight what it was designed to hide.
Under the stark, interrogative lighting of Indira Samrat and through the fearless lenses of Yuri Sokolov and Elena van Gallen, the imagery is a direct assault on convention. The set by Andy Draper is a monochromatic dreamscape of shattered ornamentation and fallen tinsel, a stage for this raw, masculine spectacle. The special effects teams of Mira Trocky and Leonardo van de Schtender amplify the raw, carnal energy with glistening textures and an atmosphere that feels charged with reckless intent.
The dual interviews, conducted by Elena Volk and the incendiary Marat Casapin, bypass seasonal platitudes. They dive straight into the psychology of the “horny bastard”—exploring the unapologetic ownership of desire, the power in festive defiance, and the visceral truth that lies beneath the wrapping of social expectation. This is not about being on the nice list.
DIFUSIE 016: Naughty & Notorious. We didn’t trim the tree. We burned it down and posed in the ashes. This is the only holiday greeting that tells the whole, uncensored truth.
